Denis Chadbourn

(dob 3 Aug 65)

Lead vocals, rhythm & flattop guitar, songwriter

A triple threat front man, singing lead, and playing rhythm & flattop, and with a suitcase full of catalogued, unreleased, originals, Denis has spent more than a decade compiling and polishing his compositions. “Because my music is so very personal to me, I had no ambition to perform my songs publicly; but my friends and family seem to like them, and perhaps you will too. I’m at a stage in my life, that I’m ready to put it all on the line. It’s one thing for your friends and family to say “That’s a great song,” but it’s quite another thing, to touch the heart of a total stranger.”

Juleann Chadbourn

(dob 25 Sep 92)

Fiddle/violin, vocals

Not to diminish her talent, Juleann is the youngest C-Denny Band member. With copious quantity of talent, (way more than her fair share,), Juleann has been playing since age six. “Jellybean” as we fondly nicknamed her, is a multiple fiddle/classical violin, competition winner. She plays, both by ear, and reads music, and what is really, really scary is…as good as she is now, at this young age, she will just keep getting better and better. Oh, and did we mention that at 12 years old, Juleann did all of her own violin arrangements on the “Gospel, Folk & Grassroots” cd?

(dob 17 Oct 39)

Mandolin, vocals

To depict Loren’s involvement on the music scene, as being life-long, is no exaggeration; he has been both the benchmark, and the catalyst, for his family’s musical interests and talents. In earlier years, Loren was one of those guys, who never went to a party without his guitar, and like Hank Sr., he started a family tradition. Throughout the 80’s, he played and toured Eastern Canada and Europe, with the bluegrass band “Blackstrap.” Today, he devotes himself to playing music with his sons, Lane and Denis, and granddaughter Juleann, and brings a very traditional tone to this family oriented band.

Lane Chadbourn

(dob 12 Jun 65)

Dobro guitar, vocals

Making regular guest appearances with the band, and playing Dobro guitar, Lane grew-up in the musical Chadbourn family household, and has an innate ability to play just about anything he puts his hands on. Case in point…two months before going into the studio, to record “Gospel, Folk & Grassroots,” Lane took-up the challenge of learning the dobro...from scratch. (He hates it when I tell people this) We all were blown away by what he accomplished in the span of a few short months. Amazingly, Lane continues to improve, and steadily refine his uncompromisingly stylish grooves. “Lane, I concede,,,your way works!”
